Do you need a sink or is a sanitizer station enough?
A sanitizer station covers general foot traffic. It does not satisfy a real handwashing requirement. Under 29 CFR 1910.141(d)(2), washing facilities need soap and towels or a hand-drying device, and sanitizer alone does not meet that standard. If your Omaha crew is applying paints, coatings, herbicides or insecticides, OSHA 1926.51(f)(1) calls for actual washing facilities, not just gel. For that, pair a portable sink rental with your handwashing station rental order instead of relying on sanitizer alone. General jobsite toilet counts still fall under OSHA 1926.51(c), separate from washing rules. Agricultural crews have their own standard: OSHA 1928.110 sets one field sanitation facility per 20 hand-labor employees, reachable within a quarter mile, which matters for farm and agricultural restrooms around Omaha and out toward Gretna, 14.7 miles southwest.
Where should sanitizer stations go on site?
Put them at entrances, exits and food areas, and next to every portable restroom rental cluster. High-traffic placement near a portable toilet rental bank cuts back-and-forth walking on a busy Omaha job or event. For accessible clusters, ADA Standards 213.2 requires at least 5 percent of clustered units be accessible, never fewer than one, and stations should sit along that same accessible route. ADA Standards 403.5.1 sets a 36 inch minimum clear width for that route, so keep stations off to the side, not blocking it. Our porta potty placement guide covers spacing further, and our porta potty rental checklist walks through what to confirm before delivery day, including surface stability under ADA Standards 302.1.

How much does hand sanitizer station rental cost in Omaha?
Pricing depends on unit count, refill frequency and rental length. Most jobsites bundle stations with a portable toilet rental order rather than renting sanitizer stations alone, which keeps delivery costs down. Below are related service price bands from our own data.
| service | duration | typical price |
|---|---|---|
| standard unit | day | $150 |
| standard unit | week | $200 |
| standard unit | month | $200 |
| ada unit | week | $185 |
| delivery fee | week | $100 |
Full cost detail lives on our porta potty rental cost and monthly porta potty rental pages, plus porta potty rental per day for short jobs. If you need general jobsite gear beyond sanitation, our construction site services page covers fencing, dumpsters and power together.
Can I get a porta potty hand sanitizer dispenser mounted on the unit?
Yes. Most standard and deluxe flushable porta potty units in our Omaha fleet can carry a mounted porta potty hand sanitizer dispenser at the door, no separate stand needed. This works well for tight event footprints where floor space near the unit is limited. Ask when you book.
How often does the porta potty hand sanitizer refill happen?
Refill timing follows your service visit schedule. ANSI/PSAI Z4.3 sets a baseline of one service visit per week for up to 10 users over a 40 hour week, and we refill sanitizer and restock supplies during that same stop. Heavy-traffic events may need a mid-week top-off.
Do sanitizer stations work for outdoor events in winter?
Gel can thicken in cold weather but still functions. For Omaha winter events, see our porta potty in winter guide for freeze prevention tips that also apply to sanitizer stations and nearby sinks.
Are hand sanitizer stations required by OSHA?
Not on their own. OSHA requires washing facilities in specific contexts, like OSHA 1926.51(f)(1) for paint, coating, herbicide or insecticide work, and general water supply under OSHA 1926.51(a)(1). Check our OSHA portable toilet requirements page for the full breakdown.
Can I rent stations for a wedding or festival?
Yes. Sanitizer stations pair well with wedding restroom rental, festival restroom rental and event restroom rental packages anywhere in Omaha, including nearby Bellevue and Papillion, each about 12 to 15 miles out.
